Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Linux Specialist at HUJI located in Jerusalem. The Linux Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Linux servers, troubleshooting issues, implementing security measures, and providing technical support to users. The role requires strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, scripting languages, and network protocols.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Linux operating systems, including system administration and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl
- Understanding of network protocols and TCP/IP fundamentals
- Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or KVM
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Certifications in Linux or related technologies are a plus
