Financial Markets Executive Search Researcher

Cannon Search Group is a boutique executive search firm founded in 2012, specialising in senior level equity sales & trading hires in the financial markets. Clients are exclusively on the sell side and include a number of the world’s leading investment banks.

The company is growing and we are searching for a researcher who can work alongside senior search consultants to drive candidate acquisition in response to existing mandates. An additional element to your job will revolve around gathering data to constantly update and expand market intelligence at the firm’s disposal. Training will be provided to assist in your understanding of the financial markets, as well as in your daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior consultants to understand each new client mandate and collaborate on search process.
• LinkedIn Searches.
• Bloomberg Searches.
• Gathering of relevant data prior to approach.
• Create & update candidate shortlists.
• Update and consolidate existing Market Maps.
• Take lead for composition and creation of twice-yearly market intelligence document.
• Work with senior consultants to produce client presentations on an ad hoc basis (Excel & PowerPoint).
• Compose candidate profiles for distribution to clients.
• Schedule candidate interviews with clients.
• Follow industry press and share knowledge of industry trends/ major events.

Requirements

• 1-5 years’ professional experience in a corporate work environment.
• Fluent English (native level)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
• A strong interest in the financial markets is a bonus.
