KLA has manufacturing sites across the globe, including Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Milpitas (CA). The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology. We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market. The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper.

Job Description

This role is a key leadership position in support of and in the development of KLA OMD & FAST Divisions new products, with the strategic and tactical responsibility for all supply chain PLC deliverables.

Requirements include, providing leadership, program management, strategic sourcing, tactical sourcing and administrative help in the procurement of materials and finished products.

This key management role will head the supply chain resources required to help new product introduction (NPI) from initial concept to product release, and stabilization prior to the product transfer to the sustaining teams.

NPI Supply Chain Manager, Essential Job Duties:

• Act as primary liaison between KLA Supply Chain organization and all internal and external partners for all covered programs.
• Drive and support new product cost targets, project milestone dates
• Drive all Supply Chain PLC deliverables throughout the product design phases, until the release to mass production (Phase 6a) such as:
• Definition and execution of sourcing strategies, including detailed quotative and qualitive analysis such as Buy Vs. Make & InSource Vs. OutSource
• Drive competitive bids for BOM items to achieve cost and time targets
• Negotiate contracts with strategic vendors such as Development, Purchasing and Long-Lead items Agreements
• Drive and monitor material procurement to support prototype, Beta and pre-production tools
• Drive and support new product cost targets, project milestone dates
• Drive and lead ECO implementations until Phase 6a (Mass Production) phase
  
• Own all material related program risks and driver: identification, mitigation, management and communication across KLA organization.
• Identify alternatives for “high risk” suppliers that could jeopardize product launch goals.
• Implement Short¬Term Problem Containment and Long¬Term Corrective Action for Shortages and other process related issues.
  
• Employ supply chain management best practices to secure uninterrupted supply.
• Oversee supplier new product forecast communication to ensure short and long term visibility is available for supplier capacity and delivery planning.
• Ensure that optimal inventory levels of commodities are established to meet production launch requirements.
• Create supply chain strategies with materials team for new products; work with cross functional team to approve new key suppliers
• Work with cross­ functional teams on the evaluation of suppliers
• Facilitate and support periodic meetings/work sessions with functional and workstream stakeholders for pre-defined topics.
• Set standards for productivity improvements by effectively deploy process improvement and work standardization
  
  

• Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years
• Proven track record in project management and leading multi-disciplinary team with experience on:
• Defining and executing supply chain sourcing strategies
• Material planning, master scheduling and forecasting
• Strategic supplier management including QBRs/PRRs
  
• Experience in interfacing with suppliers on industrialization targets
• Experience in out-of-the-box creative problem solving
• Experience in bottleneck management of manufacturing processes
• Proven track record to improve efficiency and effectivity in technical production environment
