Automation Test Lead

In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge automation testing frameworks and strategies. You will play a key part in enhancing our web application testing capabilities and ensuring a robust automation infrastructure. Strong expertise with JavaScript automation frameworks, especially Cypress, and a proactive approach to infrastructure development are essential for this position.
Responsibilities
– Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using JavaScript.
– Drive the automation testing strategy for web applications to ensure high-quality releases.
– Develop and manage the automation infrastructure to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
– Mentor and guide junior automation testers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
– Analyze and troubleshoot automation failures, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest automation trends and technologies, and integrate best practices.
– Ensure thorough documentation and reporting of automation processes, outcomes, and improvements.
Requirements
Technical Skills:
– Proficiency in JavaScript and automation frameworks like Jest, Playwright, or Cypress (Cypress experience is a strong plus).
– Solid experience with web testing methodologies and tools.
– Knowledge of automation infrastructure tools and best practices.
– Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
– Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
– Understanding of RESTful APIs and API testing experience.
Experience:
– Proven experience leading automation testing efforts, preferably in a large, established company.
– Successful track record in designing and implementing robust automation solutions.
– Experience mentoring and leading technical teams.
Education:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
