Job Summary:

A biotech company in a “stealth mode,” backed by a prominent Venture Capital group, developing novel synthetic vectors for gene and cell therapy applications, is looking for a Team Leader – RNA delivery.

Building upon recent breakthroughs in mRNA and in vivo delivery technologies, the company’s core technology holds the potential to become a new category in genetic medicine.

Location: Rehovot, Israel

Main Responsibilities:

Lead scientists’ team, develop analytical QC using HPLC, participate in the design and development of a transformative genome engineering technology, using a high throughput platform and advanced synthetic biology techniques, to execute screening workflows through proof-of-concept studies, enabling their translation into genetic and cellular therapies.

• Independently lead and execute a scientific program to meet the team’s goals
• Support other team members in troubleshooting and resolving scientific issues
• Record, analyze and present experimental data
• Maintain expertise in the field by staying current to relevant literature
• Work cross-functionally with other groups

Requirements:

• PhD or MSc with relevant industry experience in RNA delivery, analytical chemistry, nucleic acids, and/ or related fields.
• At least 5 years of industry experience in develop LNP, analytical QC by HPLC, nucleic acids – must
• Previous experience as a team leader – must
• Experience in RNA biology – an advantage
• Experience working with automatic liquid handlers in a high throughput environment – an advantage.
• Excellent management and interpersonal skills, can-do attitude, mission driven with attention to details and troubleshooting mindset.
• Outstanding teamwork, able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced and a fast-growing environment
• Flexible to shifting priorities and variable workloads.
