MI Moderation Specialist

Description

We are looking for someone who is dedicated, sharp, a fast learner, and committed to being a part of our growing Trust & Safety Department. The ideal candidate would be internet savvy, have a passion for online communities, and process oriented. The candidate would be responsible for reviewing and moderating user-generated content on our platform. Ideally, the candidate would be a team player, proactive, hard worker, able to complete tasks in a timely manner, punctual, and with strong moral principles. Motivation to ensure a safe and positive user experience is a plus!

WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?

• Review and moderate content submitted by users.
• Identify trends of users trying to game the site.
• Quickly become familiar with content moderation best practices and community guidelines while showing a willingness to suggest improvements for tools, practices, and guidelines.
• Work together with the support and customer success teams to review Marketplace Integrity related requests.
• Perform quality checks on the site and its content with the ability make sound judgment calls in high-pressure situations
• Resilient- comfortable with handling and escalating inappropriate or disturbing content
  
  

Requirements

• Fluent English speaker.
• Experience working in Trust and Safety or Customer Care departments (moderation or customer support roles are an advantage)
• Familiarity with online communities.
• Excellent communication skills (no such thing as overcommunication).
• Proficient in problem-solving and critical-thinking.
• Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and self-discipline. Willingness to learn quickly and adapt.
• Detail-oriented with flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and dynamic environments.
• Additional language skills (advantage).
