We are looking for a Compliance Counsel, reporting to the General Counsel, to join our growing Legal Team! As Compliance counsel, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company’s compliance and governance programs. This role involves working closely with various departments as well as advising of business and commercial compliance aspects relating to the company’s global operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and oversee the company’s compliance and governance programs, including the design, maintenance and monitoring of relevant policies, procedures, reporting practices and controls
• Provide legal advice and support globally on compliance-related matters
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs
• Keep updated on regulatory changes and advise necessary adjustments to compliance programs to all units in the company. Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
• work with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior
• Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and the board of directors
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and audits
• Manage investigations and inspections (internal or external) and work with relevant departments to implement corrective actions, as necessary
• Maintain records of compliance activities and documentation
  
  

• Law Degree from an accredited law school
• At least 5 years’ practical experience in compliance function(s) is a must
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably in a global technology company (publicly-traded being an advantage). Strong knowledge of applicable laws (FCPA, OFAC etc.), regulations, and industry standards
• Practical experience in developing, implementing and overseeing Compliance and Governance Programs
• Excellent English (written and spoken)
• Excellent analytical, project management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills, a team player with ability to motivate and mobilize interdisciplinary teams towards a unified end goal
• Business acumen
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
