Director Solutions Engineering

About the Role

we are seeking a highly skilled director Solutions Engineer to support enterprise integrations, conduct technical discussions with clients, and oversee the implementation process both before and after the deal is signed. The ideal candidate will possess experience in high-volume systems, machine learning, Event-Sourcing, Data Pipelines (ETLs), and have a solid track record in interacting with senior management, including C-level executives and VPs. The candidate will also play a significant role in the sales process, effectively communicating and explaining technical aspects to potential clients.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with C-level executives and VPs to understand client needs and integrate R&D strategies with company objectives.
• Plan and execute integration strategies focusing on Event-Sourcing, Data Pipelines, and ML technologies.
• Bridge the gap between the commercial and R&D departments by translating client needs into actual product roadmaps, while providing technical guidance and support throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Engage with external technical brand representatives to forge robust partnerships and ensure seamless integration with client systems. Participate in client meetings to discuss and design optimal solutions for integration and security needs.
• Oversee the implementation of solutions, ensuring they meet client specifications and are delivered on time.
• Provide post-implementation support to ensure smooth operation and client satisfaction.
• Define and oversee the implementation of key performance indicators for integration effectiveness and efficiency.
• Assist the sales team by providing technical expertise during the sales process, including conducting product demonstrations and technical presentations.

Required Technical Skills

• Programming Languages & Frameworks: Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, Python, TypeScript.
• System Architecture & Design: Knowledge in Event-Sourcing, Data Pipelines (ETLs), CQRS, Event-Driven Architecture, DDD (Domain-Driven Design), and TDD (Test-Driven Development).
• Data Management & Processing: Familiarity with MongoDB or other document databases, relational databases such as BigQuery, and knowledge of TensorFlow/PyTorch.
• Messaging & Streaming Technologies: Experience with RabbitMQ/Kafka for message brokering and event streaming.
• Cloud & Containerization: Familiarity with Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as GCP/AWS.
• Front-End Development & State Management: Basic knowledge in front-end development using Storybook, Redux.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years in the tech industry, with significant experience in a Solutions Engineer or similar role, including interaction with C-level and VP executives.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven ability to plan and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
• Strong strategic planning and multitasking skills, capable of managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
