Senior System Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and define customer requirements for software product development
• Collaborate closely with software, electronics, algorithms, and mechanical engineering teams
• Partner in determining and selecting software architecture for the product
• Manage the software development process - manage and prioritize backlogs, support development, conduct customer reviews, ensure product testability, etc.
• Evaluate new technologies, implement cybersecurity processes, DevOps, safety, and more

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
• Master's degree in Systems Engineering or similar - an advantage
• 3+ years of experience leading software product development - requirements management, process management, and agile team management
• Experience in performing detailed characterization, including writing requirements, interface characterization, building and maintaining backlogs, and prioritizing content
• Good understanding of the software development world - Object Oriented, communications and interfaces, design patterns, memory management
• High interpersonal skills and motivation for teamwork, employee motivation, collaboration, and multidisciplinary work with various entities within and outside the company
• Hands-on software development experience - an advantage
• Experience and familiarity with Air Force and Weapons systems - an advantage
