R&D Team Lead

Description

We are currently looking for an experienced R&D Team Lead. In this role you will manage a multi-discipline team (Scrum) and be an integral part of our engineering team, providing technical leadership, mentoring, coaching, and guidance to multiple development activities.

You will be working with key stakeholders from the product and business units as well as software engineers to ensure proper delivery.

The ideal candidate will be a natural technical leader, combining strong management and technical skills, along with a history of success in high-growth B2B / B2B2C SaaS companies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a highly-skilled diverse team composed of both BE and FE developers
• Project manage the teams; delivery to a successful release by tracking work, dependencies, and risks and taking corrective actions as necessary.
• Collaborate with Product, Analytics, Ops, Architects and external partners to build products our customers would love to use on a daily basis
• Hands-on attitude get into the technical details
• Facilitate and support team member’s technical and career growth objectives through training, leadership opportunities, challenging work assignments, and focused mentorship.
• Build the team by hiring the best engineers. This includes direct participation and delegation of all recruitment and hiring activities as needed.
• Be the technical focal point for the team members.
  
  

If you want to join our journey, you’ll need:

• At least 5 years of hands-on engineering experience with backend development
• 2+ years of experience as a team leader in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding in building large scale B2B SaaS products
• Experience with Python, React and modern web client technologies/frameworks - a must
• Experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms
• Strong methodology of testing, documentation, monitoring, CI/CD processes, and production deployment
• AWS service knowledge (e.g. RDS, EMR, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Lambda etc.) – a must
• AWS Architecture experience – big advantage
• Working knowledge of technical architectural styles and software design patterns
• Great interpersonal skills and a team player!
• Fluent in written and spoken English
