The Decision Advisor is a member of the East Mediterranean Business Unit (EMED) Strategy and Business Performance (S&BP) team. S&BP provides data analysis and insights to drive decision quality for EMED's strategic business activities, supports market development and sales opportunities, communicates EMED's value to the Chevron portfolio by crafting the annual BU business plan, and identifies opportunities to improve EMED's business performance through peer analysis, benchmarking, and goal setting. The Decision Advisor will work within a dynamic and diverse team environment, using financial modeling and analysis skills to support business decisions, communicate the results to senior management and serve as a trusted advisors to various stakeholders in EMED.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Decision Support - Supports high quality decision making by applying Chevron decision analysis approaches including framing, stakeholder alignment, and qualitative and quantitative analysis of alternatives, uncertainties, and risks.
• Commercial Support - Collaborates with EMED's Marketing business function to conduct and communicate market analytics and plays an integral role supporting commercial negotiations / discussions.
• Supply and Demand Forecasting - Performs Country energy demand forecasting and commodity price intelligence as well as economic modeling analysis / decision support calculations relating to specific assets(s).
• Communications - Prepares presentations and clearly communicates results of analytics to project teams and decision makers on key takeaways from economic modelling exercise and makes recommendations on key decision points.
• Business Performance Analysis - Assists in financial and operational performance benchmarking and economic analysis to identify opportunities to improve business performance.
  
  

• Communication:
• Ability to clearly distill and communicate complex information simply through written and spoken presentations
• Comfortable with management- level presentations
• Financial modeling Expertise:
• Ability to build complex financial models to produce forecasts and support business planning and decisions
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate business opportunities
• Stakeholder Management
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-organizational customers; ability to influence perspectives and/or contribution from cross-functional contributors
• Ability to perform with credibility and confidence
• Industry Knowledge - Advantage:
• Understanding of how global supply/demand balances affect commodity prices.
• Familiarity with natural gas, LNG, or condensate commodity markets.
• Understanding of upstream and midstream oil and gas markets
  

• 3+ Years experience in economic/ project finance/ advisory roles including financial modeling.
• BA in Economics or Finance
• Infrastructure/Power/Oil and Gas industry experience - an Advantage
• MBA - Advantage
