About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Architect to join our mission in developing life saving software!

Viz.ai is growing fast, and as we grow we scale both in the number of patients we treat and in the number of products we have in our portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include leading the architecture of a complex, time critical, microservices based system, that leverages event driven design, to handle large volumes of clinical data and provide advanced interface (mobile and web) to manage clinical workflows.

You’ll drive architecture modernization and new technologies adoption.

You will collaborate with various teams, including the engineering, AI, data and product teams, in order to deliver the best platform using high end technologies. You will collaborate with external 3rd party vendors to set the best and most scalable integration path.

Tech Stack

We are running on AWS with Python as the main programming language. We are using various technologies (such as S3, DynamoDB, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Docker, Redis, Prometheus and others) to run our services. We are always open to new technologies and tools that will help us to do our job even better.

You Will

• Be a key contributor to the evolution and the reshaping of our architecture
• Proactively drive the adoption of cutting edge technologies
• Work with external vendors to build reliable and scalable cross system integrations, promoting healthcare interoperability
• Work closely with the AI and engineering teams to enhance the cross-teams processes
• Work with product managers to improve platform level infrastructure
  
  

• You are able to work solo and also as part of a team, according to what is needed at that point
• You build good cross teams relationships and able to “manage by influence”
• You are eager to learn new technologies and also proactively suggest new ideas and initiatives, you are a thought leader
  
  

• A team player and strong “can do” mentality.
• Strong technical leadership with “manage by influence” skills.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, including proven experience as a lead / senior architect in SaaS companies.
• Significant experience with AWS and cloud security.
• Deep technical knowledge in multiple domains such as: data-stores, container management, microservice based architecture, security, event buses, domain driven design etc.
• Deep understanding of enterprise grade system design including security, scalability, performance, resiliency, high availability etc.
• Strong communication skill with the ability to tailor any technical communications to any level (Executives to Software Engineers)
• Ability to break a problem of any size apart into manageable pieces
• Experience in the healthcare tech industry (specifically EHR and HL7) - Big Advantage
• Experience in data processing technologies - a big plus.
