Multidisciplinary System Director - Deep Tech Revolution for Data Centers

A cutting-edge deep tech startup, seeks a Multidisciplinary System Director to lead the development and production of our groundbreaking solution for data centers.

In this role, you will:

• Manage the complete hardware development lifecycle, from initial concept to high-volume production.

• Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, scientists, and specialists, to work with collaboration and innovation.

• Champion the NPI (New Product Introduction) process, ensuring efficient engineering and a smooth production ramp-up.

• Oversee the design and integration of complex systems with advanced components (think lasers, cameras, precision mechanics).

• Design hardware for dual-use applications, meeting the demanding requirements of both data centers and research labs.

• Implement robust quality control procedures for manufacturability, reliability, and long-term performance.

• Drive cost optimization and ensure the final product is scalable for mass production.

Requirements:

• A PhD in Engineering, Physics, or a related field relevant to high-precision hardware development.

• 10+ years of experience leading hardware development teams from design concept to mass production.

• Proven track record of successfully launching complex, high-precision laser-based hardware products.

• In-depth understanding of advanced hardware components, including lasers, cameras, and precision mechanics.

• Experience designing hardware for data center environments, with a focus on reliability and thermal management – a plus.

• Familiarity with designing for research labs, considering modularity, scalability, and ease of customization.

• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
