About the Role

We are seeking a Data Scientist specialized in audio AI to lead experimental initiatives and optimize text-to-speech (TTS) systems and language learning models (LLMs). This role is ideal for someone with a strong statistical background and experience in model experimentation, keen to explore new approaches and refine existing methodologies in audio AI.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement experiments to test and optimize TTS systems, ensuring natural and high-quality speech output.
• Experiment with LLMs to enhance their capabilities in audio-related tasks.
• Analyze and interpret complex data sets related to audio processing and model performance.
• Contribute to and utilize open-source projects and tools, advancing the state of TTS and LLM technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate innovations and enhancements into product offerings.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest research and trends in machine learning, deep learning, TTS, and related fields.
• Document and share findings and methodologies to foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, with a significant focus on machine learning.
• Proven experience in designing and executing model-based experiments, particularly in TTS and audio processing.
• Strong understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP).
• Expertise in statistical analysis and data visualization.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with specific TTS systems like Tacotron and parler.
• Knowledge of audio signal processing techniques and speech synthesis.
• Previous involvement in large-scale data analysis projects.
• Contributions to relevant open-source projects in the audio AI or TTS domains.
