Position Overview: The Quantitative Developer will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing our trading operations, back-office functions, and IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in computer science, hands-on trading experience, and proficiency in AWS and other IT systems. This role requires a flexible and proactive individual who can seamlessly navigate between different business lines and contribute to the firm’s growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Trading Operations Support:

• Collaborate with trading teams to develop, test, and deploy quantitative trading strategies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot trading systems to ensure smooth and uninterrupted trading activities.

Back-Office Operations:

• Oversee and streamline back-office processes including reconciliation, and reporting.
• Implement automated solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy in back-office functions.

IT Infrastructure and Systems Management:

• Manage and optimize the company’s AWS infrastructure to support scalable and secure trading operations.
• Develop and maintain internal tools and applications to enhance productivity and data management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Act as a liaison between trading, back-office, and IT teams to facilitate communication and alignment on business objectives.
• Provide technical expertise and support across various projects and initiatives.
• Identify and drive process improvements and innovation opportunities across the firm’s operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Finance, or a related field.
• “Hand On” trading experience preferably for a large institutional manager
• Strong understanding of back-office operations and financial instruments.
• Proficiency in AWS and cloud computing technologies.
• Master level programming skills in Python
• Experience with relational databases (SQL).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

• Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in finance is a plus.
