Backend Team Lead

A successful company in the Homeland Security sector develops and provides technological solutions for both physical and virtual security platforms worldwide. Based in Yehud, the company operates with one remote workday per week and currently has 120 employees. The company combines data analysis, actionable intelligence, software development, and sensor engineering with extensive experience and a strong internal R&D foundation to deliver advanced end-to-end solutions.

Role Description:

The role involves managing a team of 7-8 employees with 30% hands-on work, reporting to the VP of R&D. The technology stack includes C#, .NET Framework, WPF, MSSQL, MongoDB, and Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management (70%)

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 7-8 developers.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and provide continuous feedback.
• Collaborate with the release manager to allocate tasks, manage workloads, and ensure the team meets project deadlines.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and stand-ups.

Hands-On Development (30%)

• Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of the product.
• Write, review, and optimize code in C# .NET Framework and WPF.
• Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Software Team Leader or similar role.
• Strong expertise in C# .NET Framework and WPF.
• Proficiency in working with databases like MSSQL and MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Azure DevOps and Git.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
