ob Title: Power Supply Installation Design and Interface Engineer (Railway)

Purpose of the Job: As “Power Supply Installation Design and Interface Engineer”, you will be responsible for the installation design of 22kV Medium Voltage and 1500VDC Traction systems of a railway project (metro/tramvay) in line with Israeli Electricity Laws/regualtions/standards to deliver installation design drawings including but not limited to equipment room layouts, cable tray/ladder routing drawings, cable lists, earthing principles etc, preparation & update of project installation BOQ & shop floor drawings. You will lead various interface topics with other subsystems and MEP/Civil Partner for design installation and commissioning activities.

Organisation Reporting:

The position reports hierarchically to the “Power Supply Engineering Manager_ PrEM”.

Responsibilities:

Perform the railway (metro/tramvay) project’s detailed installation design works which include but not limited to:

• Prepare installation drawings including equipment room layout, cables/feeders routing, cable trays/cable ladder sizing, cable duct banks, Bill of Quantities, etc. in line with local Israeli standards
• Carry out various sizing calculations for selection of cable ladder and mounting structure etc.
• Supervise the CAD/BIM drawings modelers and review & draw BIM 3D models
• Prepare all the installation mounting standards & drawings
• Prepare all the earthing system mounting standards & drawings
• Prepare the civil works installation guidelines drawings
• Participate and prepare all the interface documents related to power supply equipment installation
• Coordinate with subsystems, client and engineers to provide coordinated installation design
• Support the site installation team and conduct regular site inspection and visits
• Prepare as built drawings and documents
• Produce technical specification for installation materials, evaluate the supplier documents & validate the supplier offers
• Prepare the method statements
• Prepare the interface control documents
• Prepare the shop floor drawings
• Prepare as-builts
• Lead power supply interface topics with other stakeholders
• Lead POS project close-out activities

Knowledge & Experience

• Graduated from engineering school in electrical systems (being certified Israeli Electrical Engineer is a plus),
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical installation design,
• Experience in railway market and basic knowledge in railway electrification is a plus
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT 3D
• Good knowledge of electrical installation design (high voltage, medium voltage, traction and low voltage),
• Good knowledge of Israeli Electricity Law for electrical installation guideline/principles/standards
• Autonomy, motivated, initiative, and interested in technical topics,
• Fluent in Hebrew and English
• Coordination of works and schedule for execution.
• Work on a daily basis with project level design, external entities (state) and quality team.
• Responsible of the hand over between the design faze to the tasting and commissioning faze
• Including procedures, reports, participate and management of the procedures on site.
