Job Description:

As a Bioinformatics Developer, you will play a critical role in our bioinformatics projects, focusing on OMICS data analysis, pipeline development, implementation, and statistical analysis. You will work closely with our team of bioinformaticians, data scientists, and researchers to deliver high-quality bioinformatics solutions. This position requires a high degree of independence and self-motivation, as you will often need to work autonomously to drive projects to completion. The ability to work independently is crucial, as you will be responsible for managing and executing complex bioinformatics tasks with minimal supervision. Additionally, you will be expected to perform comprehensive statistical analyses to interpret and validate the results of your data analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform comprehensive OMICS data analysis, including genomics, proteomics, and RNA-seq gene expression (GE) analysis.

- Develop, optimize, and maintain bioinformatics pipelines and workflows.

- Write efficient and reusable code in Python and R for data analysis and visualization.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement bioinformatics projects.

- Interpret and present data analysis results to stakeholders and contribute to scientific publications.

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in bioinformatics tools, techniques, and databases.

- Provide support and training to team members and clients on bioinformatics tools and methods.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in OMICS data analysis.

- Proficiency in Python and R programming languages.

- Strong understanding of genomics, proteomics, and RNA-seq gene expression analysis.

- Experience in developing and running bioinformatics pipelines.

- Strong statistical analysis skills.

- Familiarity with bioinformatics databases, tools, and resources.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with cloud computing platforms and high-performance computing environments.

- Knowledge of additional programming languages and bioinformatics software.

- Background in molecular biology or related field.

- Experience in a bioinformatics service or consulting environment.
