Purpose of the Job

• To manage the Project according to the contract through the delivery of all work packages according to QCD commitments
• To co-ordinate project management activities with the Project Director and ensure that all requirements of that contract are supported
  
  

Performance Measurement/KPI’s

• Manage Project sub-systems maturity, follow-up KPIs and improve the approval process
• Delivery performance (OTD, DFQ) in line with targets
• Gate Review Management
• Manage interface with client so as to satisfy requirements compliance
• Achievement of QCD commitments
• Management of Risks and savings
• Cash flow management
• Contribution to the overall project gross margin
• To lead and direct the organisation in the subsystems he/she is responsible of
• To lead and direct teams for delivering the submissions with high quality for the subsystems he/she is responsible of
• To continually evaluate and monitor the performance of teams for the subsystems he/she is responsible of
• To develop and maintain a robust and professional working relationship with all Customers and Suppliers
• To ensure that Contract requirements are met and ensure that Safety Processes and Practices are strictly followed.
• To drive continuous improvement and develop an improvement strategy for the Project;
• Ensure that QCD commitments exist for all work packages he/she is responsible of;
• To manage convergence of all work packages as an integrated whole to meet QCD commitments;
• Ensure that all work packages are reviewed on a regular basis with the relevant Work
• Package owners to identify and resolve issues;
• To drive and make decisions for issues that affect performance at the Project level;
• Process and decide on recommendations for resolving key issues within projects;
  
  

Knowledge & Experience

• Educational : Civil or Mechanical Master Degree.
• Good Knowledge in Alstom Infrastructure Project Subsystems (POS/OCS)
• 10 years minimum experience in Railway sector.
• Project and/or construction experience preferred.
• Computering skills : Microsoft Office pack, Autocad and MS project (a plus).

• Extensive management skills to deal with uncertainty in Projects
• Leading Team in various Countries at the same time
• Initiatives, self-motivated for technical matters and speed learning.
• Autonomy and rigour.

Team Size

Depending on the subsystems responsible of for him/her and all other subfunctions such as finance, quality etc.. Around 20 including PreMs, Managers, Engineers etc.., (+subcontractors and workers)
