DevOps & FinOps Engineer

MyHeritage is looking for a talented DevOps & FinOps Engineer who will take an active role in shaping the future of our cloud infrastructure. In this position, you will implement crucial DevOps tasks and lead our efforts to drive cost efficiency and financial optimization across our cloud operations. If you bring a solid background in DevOps practices, an analytical mindset geared towards cost-saving opportunities, and a desire to foster growth within our team, we’d love for you to join us.

What you'll do

• Implement DevOps tasks and assist team members as part of the team’s ongoing development
• Identify cost saving opportunities and monitor and analyze cloud costs
• Create cost reports and dashboards and promote FinOps culture in the R&D department
• Stay updated on AWS cost management tools and best practices
• Support and mentor DevOps team members

What you bring

• At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps or a similar position — must
• Solid understanding of AWS service and its pricing models — must
• Experience in automated provisioning, maintaining, and management of cloud resources in AWS
• Experience in AWS cost and pricing methodologies
• Experience in AWS discount programs
• In-depth knowledge of AWS Cost Explorer and Trusted Advisor
• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization and rightsizing techniques
• Familiarity with cloud budgeting, cost allocation and ROI calculation
• System administration and troubleshooting experience with Linux in a production environment — advantage
• Ability and drive to learn new technologies
• Problem-solving and creative thinking
• Desire to support and mentor other DevOps team members
