Legal Counsel, Privacy and Product

Description

We are looking for an experienced, technology-oriented Privacy & Product Legal Counsel to join our Legal team.

A lawyer with 4-6 years of experience in a legal department of a technology company or a technology/privacy compliance department of a leading law firm. The Legal Counsel should have an in-depth understanding of data protection and privacy regulations, as well as experience in advising on technology and product developments, e-commerce activities, AI and other related aspects.

WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?

• Lead Fiverr’s privacy program and provide guidance on data protection and privacy.
• Provide comprehensive legal advice on various product development and other activities, covering privacy, e-commerce, consumer protection, AI, and other legal domains.
• Monitor worldwide laws and regulations as well as emerging trends and best practices.
• Develop and maintain internal privacy-related policies, procedures and workflows.
• Draft and review terms of use, policies, DPAs, contracts and other legal documents.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments and compliance audits, as needed.
• Engage with external law firms when required.
  
  

Requirements

• 4-6 years of relevant experience in a legal department of a technology company or a technology/privacy compliance department of a leading law firm.
• A bachelor's law degree from a leading academic faculty, and qualification to practice law in Israel.
• In-depth understanding and experience in key global privacy regulations, including GDPR, CPRA and other US state laws, etc.
• Experience in leading privacy programs.
• Passionate about privacy and technology; excellent ability to understand the product, technical, and business needs and their legal implications; strategic thinking.
• Multitasking and ability to prioritize tasks independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and Hebrew.
• CIPP/E and CIPP/US - advantage
