Assistant Controller

leading global retail company is recruiting an assistant controller for the department of professional practice.

*The position is suitable for graduates of an internship in the department of professional practice / for people who have spent a year in the department of professional practice and want to finish the internship in the company

Responsibilities:

* Managing the process of registration, documentation, financial reporting and control of events and transactions, and preparation of accounting memoranda in accordance with international financial reporting standards.

* Active participation in the preparation of the company's quarterly and annual reporting package

* Ongoing work with all business units and group companies (in Israel and abroad)

* Assistance in the process of preparing various accounting/management reports (current and ad hoc).

* Practical implementation of the provisions of the international financial reporting standards and regulatory provisions in the group's financial statements.

* Performing professional reviews (quarterly and annually) of the financial statements of the group and other units.

Qualifications:

* CPA after an internship at one of the Big 5 firms.

* At least one year of experience in a professional department in one of the Big 5 offices

* Strong knowledge and experience in international accounting standards (IFRS) and securities regulations

* Experience in lending to large public companies - an advantage
