Assistant Controller

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a highly motivated, independent, and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our global Finance team. In this role, you will be in charge of accounting and compliance while also being involved in global projects, such as data automation.

The ideal candidate is someone with good analytical and technical skills, sharp instincts, and eagerness to grow. The ability to handle multiple financial tasks with energy, professionalism, and care is key to being successful in the role.

The position is based in Tel Aviv, working in a hybrid model.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Financial Operations Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Monthly Close Management: Prepare and manage the monthly close.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare consolidated financial statements.
• Tax Handling: Handle tax for Israel, the US, and Japan, including tax aspects related to sales abroad.
• Annual Reporting: Prepare an annual statutory financial statement, tax returns, and other reports to the authorities.
• Ledger Oversight: Oversee account ledgers to ensure and supervise the accuracy of ongoing/monthly/annual accounting matters (US GAAP).
• External Partner Collaboration: Work closely with our external partners (accountants, advisors, etc.).
• System and Policy Improvement: Improve finance-related systems, procedures, and policies.
• Data Automation and Ad Hoc Projects: Be involved in the data automation process as well as other ad hoc projects, as required.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical skills & qualifications

• CPA with Big 4 experience
• 3+ years of proven experience in accounting roles, ideally in a high-tech/fast-paced environment
• Strong accounting knowledge of US GAAP
• Solid financial analysis skills
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken (mandatory, only applications in English will be accepted)
• Knowledge of the online market will be a plus (Amazon, Shopify, Recurly)
• Experience with inventory will be valued
• Priority, Mesh, Excel/Google Sheets experience is relevant
