Backend Team Lead

A startup in the field of Video & Voice Generative AI, considered a pioneer globally in facial recognition and video creation from still images.

The various platforms developed by the company revolve around integrating Generative AI and ChatGPT with other AI systems like Natural User Interface (NUI) to synthesize video clips of people with AI-based human voices. This includes a chatbot that enables high-level conversations with synthetic-human characters (Digital People) they create.

The company is located in Tel Aviv near a train line and operates in a hybrid work model with two days from home.

The company has around 70 employees. They recently completed a Series B funding round to expand the R&D department, have paying customers globally, and their platform is marketed to businesses, with a growing number of customers each quarter.

Role Description:

Managing a development team of 3-4 developers with about 50% hands-on involvement, while expanding the team by recruiting additional employees. The team develops the Generative agent platform end-to-end using NodeJS, React, AWS, Typescript, Microservices, and Python. The role involves close collaboration with the Algorithms and R&D departments and reports to the VP of R&D.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead engineering team in design, planning, and execution

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship

• Foster team autonomy personal growth & internal processes

• Develop backend for real-time video production with AI

• Architect and manage AWS cloud infrastructure

• Build and maintain company web apps and public API

Requirements

• B.Sc. Or M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• 5 years of experience in full-stack development

• 2 years of experience as a technical manager

• Node.js or python

• React.js or Vue.js

• Containerized microservice apps & orchestration

• Serverless framework - advantage

• DynamoDB, Redis, Elastic stack - advantage
