Embedded Software Engineer

A startup company developing control and monitoring systems to provide easy access to quantum computers. Quantum computers can solve computational problems that traditionally take even the most powerful classical computers decades or centuries to solve, in just a few minutes. The control and monitoring systems communicate with the quantum computer using a proprietary language they developed.

Role Description: You will be part of a development team working on the company's core product using C++. The entire development is low-level in an embedded system. The role includes developing the operating system that connects to quantum computers. You will report to the team leader and collaborate with system engineers, algorithm developers, and software engineers.

The company was founded by three Ph.D. physicists specializing in quantum computing and quantum electronics, who conducted their research in the field of quantum computing with an emphasis on quantum electronics.

Located in Tel Aviv (near a train line) and operate in a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities:

• 5 years of system programming in Linux
• Experience in embedded systems
• Proven experience with multi-threaded application programming
• Experience with embedded peripherals such as I2C, SPI, UART and GPIO
• Familiarity with Python programming – Strong Advantage
• Experience writing and maintaining production code for large systems
• Deep understanding of design patterns, systems & SW architecture
• B.Sc. or higher degree in Computer Sciences, EE, Physics, or equivalent.
