About the Position:

XC WAAP team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our application security team located in Israel. You will work as part of the team focused on the development of application layer security services to solve different problems related to security and compliance in a complex distributed cloud-based environment. You will collaborate with developers, architects, product managers and other business stakeholders to deliver and maintain a complex distributed cloud-based WAAP solution.

Responsibilities:

• Design and development of application layer data and control path services
• Work with PM to understand business requirements and use cases
• Design and deliver solutions end to end
• Provide customer support when required
• Follow the software development lifecycle
• Work with the globally distributed teams

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6+ years of software development experience
• Proficiency in C/C++ (familiarity with Golang is an advantage)
• Object-oriented design skills, knowledge of design patterns
• Good understanding of networking protocols, HTTP/HTTPS, Proxies
• Experience in performance tuning and multi-threaded software architecture
• Experience with Kubernetes container technology
  
  

Nice to have:

• Experience in the development of the complex cloud-based solutions is an advantage
• Experience with load balancer products such as F5, Envoy, Nginx, HA proxy is an advantage
• Knowledge in the security domain is a significant advantage
• Bachlor's degree in CS or equivalent is preferred, but we welcome applicants with relevant skills and experience regardless of educational background
