R&D Operations Team Leader

We are looking for an R&D Operations Team Leader, who will be responsible for leading the R&D organization’s procurement and logistics processes across various multidisciplinary projects.

What you will be doing:

Responsibility for end-to-end operational aspects of R&D projects, including working in a dynamic environment, across multiple interfaces and under a tight schedule:

• Lead and manage a high-performing R&D procurement team, bridge and facilitate between the R&D, Engineering and Operations organizations
• Develop and implement strategic plans for procurement of R&D materials, equipment, and services and for logistic planning and processes
• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, sub-contractors and vendors
• Work closely with the Corporate procurement organization and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
• Partner with R&D leadership to understand the needs and requirements of the different projects
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks, and stay up-to-date on the latest R&D procurement trends and best practices
• Control the procurement for the R&D departments and labs, facilitating procurement processes from small PCBs to various test equipment.
• Manage end-to-end procurement lifecycle (orders, monitoring, invoices, budget control).
• Responsibility for department tools and inventory management

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in business administration, logistics, industrial engineering, science, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement from large organizations
• Experience working in a matrix organization and in a multi-disciplinary projects’ environment
• Proven experience in leading and managing a team
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Deep understanding of R&D procurement best practices
• High level of oral and written communication skills in Hebrew and English
• Experience working with Oracle, Jira, Agile and logistics management software – advantage
