Vice President of Development

We are seeking an experienced and skilled VP of R&D Data to lead our research and development efforts in handling large-scale data projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in high-intensity cloud infrastructures, developing data complex digital platforms, and a proven track record in leading development teams from architecture through to production.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Define and implement the strategic vision for the R&D Data team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.

Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of developers, data scientists, and engineers. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Project Oversight: Manage the lifecycle of large-scale data projects, from conception to deployment. Ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Architecture and Design: Oversee the architectural design, planning, and implementation of web and mobile applications. Ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable code.

Cloud Infrastructure: Develop and manage high-intensity cloud infrastructures and distributed cloud services. Optimize performance and reliability for public cloud and SaaS platforms.

Mobile Development: Lead the development of mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms. Ensure seamless integration and high performance.

Production Environment: Ensure production readiness, overseeing deployment and continuous improvement of systems.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Marketing, to align the R&D Data team's work with broader company objectives.

Resource Management: Allocate and manage the budget and resources for the R&D Data team efficiently.

Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of the R&D Data initiatives.

Stakeholder Communication: Communicate progress, challenges, and achievements to senior management and stakeholders. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations.

Qualifications:

Education: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience: Over 8 years of professional experience in software development, with significant experience in developing complex digital platforms and leading development teams.

Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge in handling large-scale data projects, cloud infrastructure, and distributed cloud services. Proficiency in web and mobile application development.

Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with public cloud platforms and SaaS infrastructure.

Mobile Development: Proven experience in developing applications for Android and iOS.

Leadership Skills: Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of managing and mentoring development teams.
