Software Engineering Team Lead

A high-tech company specializing in consumer protection law develops a Compliance Excellence Platform that helps clients identify and comply with regulatory requirements worldwide. The company's system protects clients, minimizes risks, and accelerates business growth by assisting in the real-time monitoring, detection, and analysis of all company interactions based on artificial intelligence. It enables compliance teams to quickly implement new laws and regulations in their business activities and allows teams to focus on high-value events.

The company has completed Seed and Round A funding from leading venture capital firms, has paying customers, is in a growth phase, and is expected to double in size.

Located in Tel Aviv near a train line, the company has 28 employees and allows for two work-from-home days per week.

Job description: Reporting to the CTO, managing a team of 8 people, including one frontend developer, one data scientist, and six backend developers. The role involves being hands-on about 30% of the time and as needed, primarily in Python.

Technological stack: GCP, Azure, AWS, Microservices, Kubernetes, AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a team of experienced developers, promoting a culture of excellence and ownership, guiding the team towards timely and valuable delivery.
• Design and Management: Lead the architecture, implementation, and enhancement of the product, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Product Orientation: Strategically prioritize development tasks to align with business objectives, ensuring maximum value and relevance to the product.

Qualifications

• 3 years in fast-paced/start-up environments.
• Product and Business Orientation: Proven ability to align development efforts with business goals.
• 2 years experience in leading a SaaS product team, including data engineers, backend (MUST) and frontend developers.
• Experience in deploying and managing data-intensive processing pipelines.
• Architecture/microservices considerations.
• Backend Development Expertise: 6+ years of engineering experience, with a strong focus on Python.
• Cloud Technologies: Proficiency in AWS.
