Research And Development Manager

Company Overview:

We are a medical device start-up in the field of qPCR-based liquid biopsy that aims to make preemptive, preventive, and follow-up cancer screenings affordable and accessible by utilizing routine blood testing to screen for genetic tumor biomarkers.

Job Summary:

The R&D manager will lead and manage research projects and develop initiatives within Infiniplex, significantly focusing on hands-on lab work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology, proven leadership skills, and a passion for advancing scientific research through active benchwork.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Set product development goals, millstones, and timelines

·      Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget

·      Design and conduct cutting-edge research projects with a hands-on approach

·      Ensure project deliverables meet strategic objectives 

·      Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary

·      Drive continuous lab work and optimize processes 

·      Implement workflow according to ISO 13485

·      Lead, mentor, and manage a team of researchers and scientists

·      Foster a collaborative and innovative research environment

·      Host audits from third parties and regulatory agencies

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in a relevant scientific discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D within the life sciences industry or academy.
• Proven practical knowledge in the following fields: Molecular Biology/Genetics, Genomic Analysis
• Proven practical experience in laboratory operations and management, including hands-on.
• Strong scientific, analytical, and laboratory skills
• Experience in integrating software in medical device
• A self-motivated individual with the ability to work with minimum supervision
• Critical thinking
• Ability to provide clear and concise guidance to others
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English
• Proficiency in Office applications (word, excel, etc.)
