QA Engineer (Student), Part-time

Vicarius is an Israeli-born cybersecurity startup backed by tier-1 investors from San Francisco, Portugal and Tel Aviv. Currently operating out of NYC and Tel Aviv, Vicarius is set to solve the biggest challenge of all: security vulnerabilities. The Vicarius powered platform, vRx, is a simple and self-serve product that helps companies identify, prioritize and fix security threats in an integrated, automated, and non-traditional manner.

We are looking for a QA Engineer (Student) to write and execute manual and automated tests to ensure product quality.

As a QA engineer, you will be designing and implementing tests, debugging and making corrective actions.

You will be responsible for testing the product before launches to ensure that the product is free from errors and reliable.

The position is suitable for students with the availability to work 3 night shifts a week from home and one day a month to come to the office to meet the whole R&D Team.

Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Work closely with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
• Monitor debugging process results.
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defects.
• Be familiar with testing tools and methodologies.
  
  

• Ability to work 3 night shifts a week and one day a month to come to the office.
• Experience in manual testing or relevant QA courses.
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
• High teamwork skills.
