Observability Consultant

This exciting opportunity is for a technical observability consultant in Israel. The successful candidate will work closely with clients in all industries to deliver design, implementation, configuration, training, and operations of application monitoring solutions.  

Projects may be short or long term, depending on the client’s requirements. Delivery will be partly remote and partly on clients’ sites.

The successful candidates will receive formal training from leading senior consultants in the industry, working to become subject matter experts in the observability space.    

Responsibilities

• Design and implement monitoring solutions which includes platform installation, agents instrumentation configuration and customisation 
• Configure Business Transactions, create Custom Dashboards and setup Alerting to improve the client’s reactive and proactive monitoring capabilities
• Develop strong and effective relationships with the clients aa well as our partners
• Deliver monitoring services, operations and continuous improvements to end clients
• Deliver Knowledge sharing sessions and handover responsibilities as part of ongoing client’s engagements
• Identify opportunities for improvements, drive and encourage cultural change within the client’s monitoring space to maximise the product’s value and benefits
• Create documentation, listing and detailing the scope and the delivery of the client’s monitoring solution

Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of monitoring solutions as an administrator and an implementor
• Knowledge of AppDynamics software or similar products (Dynatrace, NewRelic, DataDog, Splunk, etc.)
• Strong Linux and Windows OS knowledge
• Good understanding of application architecture; broad technology awareness across both application and infrastructure domains
• Good understanding of development lifecycles
• Strong troubleshooting skills and approach to problem solving
• Very strong written and oral communication skills
• Languages: Hebrew and English
• Advantage – good understanding of Java, .NET, Node.JS or JavaScript
• Advantage – Perl, Shell of Python Scripting, good knowledge of SQL queries
