Lecturer in Arabic Philology

The Polis Institute is seeking to hire a lecturer in Arabic Philology (Language and Literature).

Profile

• Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic.
• Holder of an MA in Arabic language and literature. PhD, or PhD candidate, is a plus.
• At least 2 years experience teaching in higher education.
• Able to work in a multicultural environment.

Requisites

• Legally permitted to work in Israel.
• Advanced knowledge of English.

Content

Examples of the courses that the lecturer will be asked to teach:

• Introduction to Arabic Philology.
• Arabic Folklore and Popular Stories (taught in Arabic).
• Arabic Philosophy.
• Arabic in Media (taught in Arabic).
• Introduction to Arabic Literature.
• Modern Arabic Literature.
