Loitering Advanced Defence Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in the defence technology sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing advanced defence systems and components. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, creativity, and a commitment to advancing technology to ensure national security.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development: Create detailed design specifications, schematics, and models for defence systems and components, including electronic, mechanical, and software elements.

Prototyping and Testing: Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate designs, ensuring they meet all performance and safety standards.

Project Management: Manage and oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure seamless integration of designs into production.

Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, test plans, and user manuals.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and defence protocols.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in defence technology and engineering practices to continually enhance design processes and product performance.

Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support during the manufacturing, installation, and maintenance phases of the product lifecycle.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering, preferably within the defence or aerospace industry.

Skills:

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).

Knowledge of defence standards and regulations (e.g., NATO, MIL-STD).

Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Languages: 

Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with systems engineering and integration.

Familiarity with advanced manufacturing techniques (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining).

Knowledge of cybersecurity principles as they apply to defence systems.

Work Requirement:

This role will primarily be based in an office setting with occasional visits to manufacturing facilities and test sites.

The position may require travel within country and internationally for collaboration with global partners and clients.
