Main Purpose:

We invite you to join Bayer's Identity Platforms Engineering team as an IAM Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing the security of our digital assets. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive IAM strategy, protecting our applications, infrastructure, and intellectual property worldwide. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, strategic planning, and collaboration with multiple teams.

What You'll Do:

• Design and implement advanced IAM solutions using SailPoint IdentityNow and Microsoft Entra ID, ensuring robust system and data security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design integrated solutions, and enhance application security.
• Manage and secure user identities, roles, and access permissions across diverse platforms.
• Develop, implement, and enforce IAM policies and procedures in alignment with strict security and compliance standards.
• Conduct thorough access reviews, audits, and risk assessments to uphold security integrity.
• Proactively monitor IAM systems, responding swiftly to security incidents.
• Ensure the integration of IAM solutions with the overall IT architecture, working in tandem with enterprise architecture teams.
• Lead IAM initiatives, offering expert guidance and keeping up with the latest in IAM technology and trends.

Who You'll Work With:

• Direct collaboration with the Head of Identity Platform Engineering on strategy and operations.
• Daily engagement with the IAM Engineering Team for planning, development, and support.
• Coordination with Security Architects, Governance, and Compliance Teams on security standards.
• Continuous interaction with Business Users and Vendors, ensuring satisfaction and requirement fulfillment.
• Partnership with Workplace, Security, and HR Teams to ensure smooth identity data management.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years in IT focusing on identity lifecycle, access management, and system integration.
• 5+ years experience in in 2 or more of the following specialized areas: Access Governance, Cloud Identity Management, Customer IAM, Privileged Access Management, Authentication Solutions
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud automation tools, including AWS CloudFormation or HashiCorp Terraform.
• Demonstrated proficiency in IAM integration patterns and standards such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
• Excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and a knack for explaining complex systems in simple terms.
• Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, CIAM, with a strong understanding of IAM governance frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with leading IAM platforms such as SailPoint, Savyint, Okta, CyberArk, or HashiCorp.
• A solid background in Web Access Management architecture and implementation.
• Relevant certifications, including Microsoft SC-, AZ-, or SailPoint IdentityNow Engineer.
• An understanding of DevOps practices and tools relevant to IAM operations.
• Proficiency in scripting languages, including Python and PowerShell, for automation purposes.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Amazon ECS, EKS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• An independent worker who also thrives as a collaborative team player in dynamic settings.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
