Operations and GIS Analyst

ASTERRA is seeking a highly motivated individual Operations & GIS Analyst to join our Operations department. The Operations & GIS Analyst will manage the satellite image acquisition process, produce unique satellite analyses, and work on various production projects, as part of ASTERRA’s Operations department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ASTERRA’s satellite image acquisition process and collaborate with several satellite image providers worldwide.
• Streamline and formalize internal Operations processes and workflows.
• Work with a wide range of geospatial content in raster and vector formats.
• Support and enhance development & production efforts to meet unique customer requests.
• Assist in raw SAR analysis, algorithm operating, georeferencing and quality assurance of geospatial products.
• Execute specialized GIS and non-GIS projects according to operational guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in ESRI GIS software (ArcGIS 10.X and above).
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography/Geology/Engineering/Business Administration or other related fields.
• High proficiency in English (writing, speaking, reading)
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT).
• Experience with other GIS Software such as ArcGIS Pro and QGIS- an advantage.
