Presales Engineer (StorageGuard)

We are seeking a talented PreSales Engineer to join our team, with a focus on the company’s StorageGuard product line. Founded in 2005 by storage and data protection experts, Continuity is the leading provider of security solutions to safeguard the Storage & Backup systems of large enterprises against cyberattacks. Continuity is proud to serve leading organizations worldwide, including many of the world’s top banks.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the technical advisor and strategist for the US Sales team.

•Work with the US sales team to build and progress an opportunity pipeline, secure new clients and ensure renewals and growth.

•Conduct the full range of customer-facing pre-sales activities, including: presentations, product demos, consultative solution selling, requirements analysis, proof of concept activities, competitive analysis, and technical deep-dive sessions to support sales activities.

•Engage with existing and potentials customers through online and in-person meetings, and represent the company in seminars, conferences and workshops as necessary.

•Maintain knowledge as an industry expert regarding products, solutions, technical services, competitive activities and trends relevant to our business; be at least as informed as the customer, and able to quickly understand customer requirements and move a customer to the opportunity stage.

•Perform an oversight role for large, complex customer engagements where appropriate.

•Meet training and certification requirements for selected vendors and technologies when necessary.

Position Requirements

•4+ years of industry experience in a role similar to presales, sales engineering, product specialist, IT security expert, field-CTO, technical evangelist roles for B2B Enterprise software solutions for either Enterprise IT or Cybersecurity.

•Strong understanding of datacenter infrastructure, especially (1) IT Infrastructure Security; (2) Enterprise Storage & Backup.

•Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills – with either C-level, senior management, or technical audiences.

•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or 7+ years or more of IT sales or solution architecture experience.

•Product Development will be considered in lieu of degree.

•Strong oral and written communication skills.

•Ability to travel (~20% in average).
