Mechanical R&D engineer

Aitech systems is looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to join a world class development team. The position will be part of a global mechanical R&D team at Aitech systems in Israel.

Responsibility:

• Achievement of the technical goal/commitment of a project by working closely with global R&D team.
• Developing electromechanical products by studying requirements and developing as per expected quality, standards, schedule and cost targets.
• Active team member taking ownership of the entire mechanical product development cycle from establishing proof of concept, detailing, prototyping, testing & verification to final production release.
• Create and maintain production documentation.
• Sustaining and improving existing products.
  
  

• Proven successful hands-on experience of at least 5 years in the design of electromechanical systems, design according to military and aviation standards, understanding manufacturing technologies and products life cycle.
• Highly skilled in working with multidisciplinary team in realizing project goals outstanding analysis and trouble-shooting skills.
• Demonstrated skills in decision making, problem-solving in absence of complete or accurate data, achieving the desired project goals.
• Proficient in CAD drafting (advantage: 3D using Autodesk Inventor software and 2D using AutoCAD software).
• Deep understanding of thermal and structural mechanical principals including working with thermal and structural simulation reports (advantage: experience in performing the simulations)
• Experience in implementation of design optimization processes (size, weight, structure, thermal performance, manufacturing methods, cost)
• High level of English language skills, verbal, reading and writing.
• Advantage: experience with VPX, VME, cPCI and VITA standards.
• Ability to work independently and integrative as a team member.
• Ability to work long hours and with multi-tasking.
• Enthusiastic approach and desire to learn and share personal experience and knowledge.
  
  

• Graduate or post-graduate in Mechanical Engineering B.E/B.Tech/BSc or M.E/M.Tech/MSc.
