Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and tech-savvy IT Support Intern to join our team on a part-time, 3-month contract, with the potential for extension. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates eager to gain practical experience in IT support within a professional environment. As an IT Support Intern, you will assist with a variety of technical tasks, support our internal teams, and help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our IT systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
- Respond to support tickets and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
- Perform regular system updates and maintenance tasks.
- Support the IT team in various projects and initiatives.
- Document and log support activities, maintaining accurate records of issues and solutions.
- Assist with the setup and management of user accounts and access controls.
- Provide support for office technology, including printers, scanners, and other equipment.
- Conduct basic network troubleshooting and support.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and IT fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Availability to work [number of hours, e.g., "10-20 hours per week"].
- Must be able to work in the Office
- Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Experience with Google Workspace administration.
- Experience with Video Conference Equipment (Zoom Rooms, Google Meets etc)
- Experience with Okta or other identity and access management systems.
- Experience using MDM systems
- Familiarity with network protocols and configurations.
- Previous experience in a customer service or technical support role.
- Knowledge of basic scripting and automation tools.
- Fluent in English
