Director of Operations

CityKids is looking for Operation Manager to join our team!

Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing School Operations: Lead all aspects of school operations, including administrative duties, staffing, student enrollment/registration, general customer service, record keeping, and office management (e.g., payroll, petty cash, student files).
2. Financial Management: Develop and maintain the center budget to support optimal enrollment and school growth, including a fully enrolled program at all times.
3. Ensure Compliance: Remain updated of legal requirements of the Nursery School from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Social Services, local municipality, and all other stakeholders, and ensure compliance of the school at all times.
4. Communication and Coordination: Communicate directly with HQ departments, colleagues, and the Head of CityKids/COO.
5. Supporting a Healthy Environment: Support teachers in maintaining a clean and healthy environment for children, ensuring they can engage in a variety of activities throughout the day.
6. Professional Skills and Conduct: Exhibit high-level oral and written communication/presentation skills, effective listening skills, and establish a friendly and respectful rapport with families and colleagues. Implement and mentor positive guidance techniques using skill, positive reinforcement, praise, and encouragement.
7. Operational Flexibility: Demonstrate willingness and flexibility in day-to-day operations and function as a "float" in emergency situations to ensure the overall success of the school.

Qualifications (Must haves):

1. Bachelor’s degree in early childhood, elementary education, or other related field.
2. English fluency
3. Knowledge of and experience implementing developmentally appropriate practices, emergent curriculum, and other progressive approaches to early childhood education
4. Proven experience in hiring, managing, mentoring, and leading a team

Qualifications (Nice to haves):

1. Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a school setting
2. Hebrew fluency
3. Proven experience in community-building and customer engagement
