The Position

People & Culture Country Operations Specialist - 1 year fixed term (maternity cover)

OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB

We are looking for a highly motivated People & Culture Country Operations Specialist to join our team.

In this position you will support us through multiple exciting activities that add to the continuous improvement of our local and global P&C processes and services. The People and Culture (former HR) Country Specialist will be part of the People Support Solutions (PSS) chapter and will work closely with the broader PSS organisation but will primarily provide specific country services needed to be performed in the local language or needed to have local physical presence in Israel, working alongside the wider P&C organisation, as well as external stakeholders.

Job Accountabilities
Main tasks including but not limited to:

Recruitment:

• Lead the recruitment process for the positions of Roche Israel end-to-end based on the global standardized recruiting process
• Partner with the business leaders in Roche Israel regarding all talent acquisition aspects including talent sourcing, selection, and hiring.
• Keep up with new recruitment trends for ongoing optimization, ultimately, to attract and hire the best talents for Roche Israel to achieve our ambition
• Collaboration with Talent Acquisition partners and building strong relationships across the chapters
• Understands different assessment methodologies and consults with the business which ones are most appropriate.
• Facilitates the decision making process with the hiring manager and the other involved stakeholders to hire the best candidate for the role.
• Manages the offer process with all necessary stakeholders (creates an offer proposal, obtains approvals, extends offers, and negotiates with candidate if required)
• Explain country specific benefits to candidates
• Engage and manage recruitment agencies in Israel
  
  

• Manage, coordinate, monitor and archive the mandatory pre-employment activities
• Proactively identify process improvements and troubleshoot complex issues to determine root cause and solutions
• Preparation and management of employment related documents
• Maintain employee files and records
• Validate the translations of the employment contracts related documents (i.e. Job descriptions) and pre-hire documents
  
  

• Perform time related activities and manage the relationship with 3rd party vendors (i.e. pension scheme, health insurance scheme)
• Interface with and manage benefit vendors to ensure accuracy, high service levels and desired employee experience
• Primary point of contact for People Support Team on payroll, time and benefits enquiries, supporting end-to-end resolution
• Active participation in projects related to PTB and process improvement
• Support, communicate and inform employees about changes in policy, clarification and answers to questions of employees on vacation, sick leave, vacation remains, etc.
  
  

• Assist in development and implementation of People & Culture policies
• Support OD and Learning activities
• Support and maintain effective working relationships with People & Culture network and chapters

• University degree
• 4+ years of related experience in Human Resources (ie HR Generalist)
• Experience with HRIS systems (Workday desirable)
• Experience in service delivery or customer care
• Ability to navigate in complex HR data structure
• Proven track record of being able to deliver in a matrix organization
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and multicultural environment working across borders
• Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English (written and spoken) are essential
