Job Description:

a. Development, planning and maintenance of BGU’s virtual environment and AD system.

b. Installation, operation and maintenance of Windows servers: Installation of hardware, operating systems and software required for using the servers.

c. Ongoing management of Windows operating systems for servers: Monitoring the proper functioning of the systems, defining users, updating versions of the operating system and main software.

d. Troubleshooting errors in the system and main virtual and physical servers with Microsoft’s operating systems and malfunctions in the main servers.

e. Initiating, planning and programming improvements and additions to optimize the virtualization systems, Windows and AD servers and their integration in the existing systems.

f. Defining procedures and guidelines for the ongoing system operation.

g. Training and guiding system users on user commands: applications available on the servers, support and advice to representatives, etc.

h. Professional development and updating faculty members as well as identifying new virtual system technologies and Windows servers.

i. Execution and guidance of projects in integrating innovative and cutting-edge technologies.

j. Responsible for team work and virtualization and AD activities.

k. Performing additional tasks under the direction of the supervisor.

l. Subordination: Head of Administrative Computing Infrastructure Section.

Job Requirements:

a. Bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences or natural sciences.

b. Three years' experience in the relevant fields.

c. Experience in working in VMware virtual environments.

d. Experience in managing storage infrastructure.

e. Experience in working in communications and AD.

f. Experience working with GPU in VDI.
