Ford Israel Cybersecurity Lead

Ford Motor Company, a US-based corporation, is recruiting a Cybersecurity Lead to join our Israel Innovation Center and take part in shaping the future of the automotive vehicle. 

At the Israeli Ford Center, we connect Israel’s automotive ecosystem with Ford’s quest for research and innovation. This is a great opportunity to be part of a small & significant team that leads new technology assimilation and impacts Ford’s mobility strategy worldwide.

The cybersecurity lead will report to Gilad Barzilay who manages Ford Israel Innovation Center.‬‬‬‬‬

As part of this role, you will be required to:

• Help Ford extract value out of the Israeli ecosystem. You will need to:
• Interact with local startups and understand their product offering.
• Work with the US team to define evaluation projects to prove the value propositions.
• Conduct those evaluations in Israel or assist US teams on a project basis. 
• Assist Ford European Union & International Market Organization cybersecurity operations:
• Work with local field application engineers on supporting vehicle cybersecurity features for EU & IMG factories' vehicle programs.
• Represent Ford in cybersecurity audits for new vehicle programs (supported by US team) 
• Assist Ford local API security and vehicle SOC operations:
• Provide professional guidance & support to the Israeli-based SOC operations team 
• Help define SOC playbooks and offer new mitigations and detection logic for SOC and API protection platforms. 

To succeed we believe that it’s important for you to have: 

• Bachelor's degree (B.Sc) or higher in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent from a known university
• At least 5 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry or equivalent military experience 
• At least 2 years of experience in the automotive industry 
• Familiarity with automotive vehicle architecture and protocols (CAN / Automotive ETH) – an advantage
• Familiarity with R155-type compliance process – an advantage
• Familiarity with API security / SOC operations – an advantage
• Enthusiastic about vehicles and the automotive world 
• Excellent English 
• Outstanding interpersonal skills – proven experience with building meaningful relationships and influence without authority
• Experience working in a global and cross-functional team environment (preferably with US organizations).
• Self-Starter – Curiosity, Proactiveness, and Consistency for executing meaningful results and impact 
• Team player – we are working as one team
• Willing to travel (under one month a year)
