DevOps Manager

A startup company developing a tool for developers that allows debugging and adding logs and metrics to running applications in a production environment. The tool enables fast and easy debugging, saving significant development time. The company has large, paying international clients and is experiencing tremendous growth (after a funding round!).

The role involves managing a team of 3 DevOps engineers, including 50% hands-on work.

The company has around 55 employees and is located in Tel Aviv, near the train station. Two days of remote work are possible.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the DevOps team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success and professional growth.
• Actively participate in hands-on technical tasks, contributing to the development, deployment, and maintenance of the observability platform.
• Design, implement, secure and maintain the infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes to support the platform.
• Take full end-to-end responsibility for all infrastructure related projects
• Collaborate with the development, QA, and product teams to ensure smooth integration, testing, and deployment of software releases.
• Drive automation and scalability efforts to optimize system performance, reliability, and availability.
• Continuously monitor and improve the observability, monitoring, and logging systems to ensure the stability and performance of the platform.

Qualifications:

• One years of experience in a managerial role
• 5 years' experience in a DevOps role, with a strong background in infrastructure management, CI/CD methodologies, and automation.
• Strong hands-on experience in both cloud and on-premises environments, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and managing on-premises infrastructure.
• Proficiency in infrastructure management and deployment using cloud platforms and on-premises solutions.
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation for both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, JavaScript or Bash.
• Excellence knowledge of Linux based systems
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog or ELK stack for both cloud and on-premises environments.
