Freelance Data Scientist

Start-Up Nation Central is seeking a proficient Data Scientist-Freelance. The role involves crafting and refining strategies for data handling and analysis, developing predictive models, and deploying a batch pilot system. The candidate will play a crucial role in interpreting complex data patterns and translating them into actionable insights.

Location: Tel Aviv

Scope: 2-3 days per week, at least 2 days in the office

Finder is the business engagement platform of the Israeli tech ecosystem, creating connections, generating deal flow, and fostering new business opportunities – in addition to delivering actionable insights and valuable data.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead data collection, ensure dataset completeness, and prepare data for analysis.
• Create and enhance data analysis methodologies for a tailored recommendation engine.
• Build and refine predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Extract insights from data, and compile reports on findings and system performance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in data science, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling, with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python, and familiarity with data science and machine learning libraries.
• Extensive experience with data manipulation, cleaning, and visualization techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
