Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Rehovot. As a Research and Development Microbiologist at Sharon Personal Care, you will be leading projects independently, responsible for conducting research, developing new products, and provide support to our customers. Your day-to-day tasks will include performing microbiological assays and analyses, developing and validating test methods, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and ensure quality standards.

Qualifications

• PhD in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field
• Knowledge of microbiological techniques, including aseptic techniques, microbial identification, morphology and cellular mechanisms.
• Experience with antimicrobial efficacy testing
• Experience in Microbiome research (skin/gut/other)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Creative thinking 
• Proven scientific writing skills (first author in published scientific articles).
• Experience in molecular biology (DNA/RNA, qPCR)
• Experience in cell culture techniques
• Working experience of at least 2 years in the industry
