Job Title: Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Health Policy and Population Health Interventions

SPHERE, located at the Azrieli Faculty of Medicine of Bar-Ilan University in Safed, Galilee, is an interdisciplinary research initiative integrating biology, medicine, social sciences, and humanities. Our mission is to address and reduce the notable disparities and inequities prevalent in diabetes and obesity in the Galilee region.

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our research team focusing on the implementation of interventions in healthcare systems and local municipalities to reduce diabetes and obesity health and health care inequities.

Responsibilities:

- Develop, conduct, and lead research projects, particularly implementation studies, on various interventions developed or implemented by SPHERE in collaboration with health funds and local municipalities.

- Analyse data and disseminate research findings through publications, conference presentations, and other academic channels.

- Collaborate with other researchers within SPHERE and external partners to advance research goals and contribute to the field of health services research and health equity and implementation science.

Position Details:

- Full-time position, with a minimum of two days per week at SPHERE offices at the Azrieli Faculty of Medicine in Safed.

- Initial contract duration of 12 months, with the possibility of extension.

- Start date: August 1, 2024, or earlier, depending on the availability of the candidate.

Requirements:

- PhD degree in social sciences, health services research, public health, or a related field.

- Demonstrated experience in implementation science research, including knowledge of relevant theories, methodologies, and frameworks.

- Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, including proficiency in data analysis software such as Atlas and SPSS.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

- Prior experience in academia and research publication is desirable.
