About the role:

The Category Lead for Sparkling Water Machines at SodaStream will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the sparkling water machine category globally. Reporting directly to the Global CMO, this role will be responsible for leading the end-to-end management of the category, from consumer insights to innovation pipeline to in-market execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Category Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy aligned with the overall business objectives and consumer needs.

• Consumer Insights: Utilize market research and consumer insights to identify trends, preferences, and opportunities within the sparkling water machine category.
• Innovation Pipeline: Lead the development of innovative product offerings and enhancements to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
• In-Market Execution: Oversee the execution of marketing initiatives, promotions, and campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement, and sales.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead a multifunctional team including R&D engineers, Insights managers, Product managers, brand managers, and commercialization managers to achieve category goals. (Some of the team members report directly to this role and some will be a dotted line).
• Business Results: Take ownership of the business results of the sparkling water machine category, including revenue, market share, and profitability.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including regional marketing teams, sales, and operations, to ensure alignment and support for category initiatives.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Product Design or related field (MBA preferred).
• 8 years of experience in marketing, product management, or category management within the consumer goods industry, with a focus on appliances or beverage products preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and driving business results.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Consumer-centric mindset, with a deep understanding of consumer behavior and preferences.
