Release Manager

We are seeking an innovative Release and Escalation Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the complete software delivery life cycle, ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of products to our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of release management principles, as well as experience in creating and enforcing product delivery KPIs. Additionally, the Release Manager will collaborate with engineers’ teams from the planning phase to the deployment phase through the development and testing phases playing a key role in improving the quality of reported tickets to engineering teams, defining product releases, and monitoring quality processes.

Release & Escalation Manager Responsibilities:

• Product Releases:

1. Manage the cadence of product releases, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
2. Enable shorter release cycles and continuous delivery through effective release management practices.
3. Identify blockers and mitigate risks to ensure smooth product releases.

• Product Delivery KPIs - Develop and implement systems and tools for ongoing measurement and enforcement of product delivery KPIs.
• Analyze KPI data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize product delivery processes.
• Jira Quality Improvement - Design and implement programs for support enablement and knowledge transfer to improve the quality of reported tickets to engineering teams.
• Quality Process Monitoring & Alerting System - Implement and maintain a quality process monitoring and alerting system to track automation coverage, failed tests, and retro on escaped defects.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, software engineering, technology management, business management, or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in release management or a related field
• 2+ years of Project management experience
• 2+ years CI/CD process, automation and DevOps related tools (Github or similar)
• Advanced knowledge of the full life-cycle of product development and delivery..
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and report to senior managers.
• Experience in working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, or Kanban.
• Strong understanding of product delivery KPIs and experience in creating, implementing and monitoring and enforcing them.
• Proficiency in tools and systems used for release management and quality assurance (e.g., Jira, automation tools).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Experience in a fast-paced, Agile environment is preferred.

Bonus Experience

• 2-3 years of software development experience.
• Experience with product-led growth product development.
• Background in software development or familiarity with programming languages and software development tools.
• Exposure to analytics and insights platforms or open-source development tools.
