Vice President of Development - relocation

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary VP of R&D to lead our research and development strategy, drive the innovation of our platform, and ensure our technological resources align with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the company’s R&D strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Oversee all aspects of technology research and development, including architecture, design, development, and implementation.

Lead and mentor a diverse team of developers, engineers, and IT professionals.

Collaborate with product management and other departments to ensure technology supports and enhances business goals.

Manage relationships with external technology partners and vendors.

Ensure the robustness of the infrastructure, including cloud services, databases, and networking.

Oversee the development and deployment of both web and mobile applications.

Implement best practices for software development, including Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a VP of R&D, CTO, or in a similar senior technical leadership role.

Extensive experience in software development, particularly with large-scale web and mobile applications.

Strong background in scalable system architecture and design.

Proficiency in multiple programming languages, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and frameworks like React, Node.js, and Django.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).

Expertise in database management (SQL, NoSQL) and data architecture.

Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with security best practices for web and mobile applications.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience in the travel or booking industry.

Familiarity with AI and machine learning technologies.

Experience with payment gateway integration and handling transactions.

Understanding of UX/UI principles and their impact on development.

Track record of successful product launches and scaling technology platforms.

Experience with data analytics and personalized recommendation systems.

Knowledge of social app development and integration.
